Bio Hey world,
My name is Natasha Punt. I am currently in my graduate year of Fashion school in New Zealand.
I am 22 years old and am about to enter the fashion industry. I wish to work for other designers in order to further my industry knowledge and create collections for my own label "PUNT" in my spare time. I am currently trying to work out the area to which i would like to work in as throughout my three years of study i have developed a strength in every area of the industry.
My interests in the industry stemmed from my love and passion for sewing and the development of creating something original from a flat rectangular piece of fabric. I have always been interested in the manipulation of something flat into something three dimensional and spectacular. Throughout my time of study I increased my knowledge on the fashion industry and how to design for particular markets in order to create for a comercial market but still remain unique in design.
Showcased, is my first collection from this final year of study. In a number of weeks my final collection will be created and showcased at a Poloytechnic Fashin Show named "PITCH". .......... Watch ths space....

Line Description
FALL TO RUINS
Dark and sombre with a hint of light, “Fall to Ruins”. Autumn/ Winter ’09 demonstrates the literal meaning of ‘Flourish and Decay’, emphasizing ideas of decay within nature.
A balance between strength, beauty and decomposition is found blending ideas of harnessing, muscle lines and shaping, and images of decomposing nature.
In an understanding of nature, chosen fabrics remain as natural fibres and colourings are based within shades of black, grey and white.
To understand that there is beauty within most things in life, you may just need to break through the harnessing to see it.
